Role Summary 

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative NPD Manager/Product Developer to join our team at TRIP. This individual will play a crucial role in our product development and management strategy, leading projects from conceptualisation through to launch. Key Responsibilities

• Owning and executing the NPD supplements pipeline according to agreed timings, budget and quality standards according to the Stage Gate process including but not limited to;
• Trend scraping and benchmarking. Using your passion and knowledge of ingredients to influence the NPD pipeline; this could be new ingredients, formats, categories or packaging
• Creating briefs and driving the critical dates between TRIP and our manufacturing partners
• Commercially minded, you are familiar in creating benchtop commercials
• Effectively communicate to all stakeholders the timelines and sign-off steps
• Manage project risks and issues by identifying and highlighting them to the team
• Hands-on development with our supplier of new concepts which will excite our customers
• Work with our product technologist to prepare our manufacturing partners for scale-up trials and pre-productions and ensure accurate and concise documentation is handed over to our Ops and Retail teams
• Prepare information (ingredients declarations and nutritional information) as part of the artwork process
• Seek, leverage and form collaborative relationships with our ingredient and packaging suppliers who can help drive the performance of our products
• Keep abreast of the CBD and wellness industry, consumer trends as well as the activity of competitors, whilst ensuring that these insights are incorporated into the development program
• Develop and maintain an excellent knowledge of product development, ingredient functionality, production and process techniques.

About You

• You have a passion for beverage and wellness, continually scoping the newest trending ingredients, supplements or flavours and can’t wait to share them with everyone

• You have an exceptional palate and understanding of flavour profiles

• You have 3+ years' experience working in similar role for a supplements or drink brand or manufacturer involved with development of these products

• A degree in a related subject such as food technology, nutrition, or biomedical science

• You have experience of scaling projects from concept to launch

• You are comfortable both in the development kitchen and on the factory floor, scaling concepts from benchtop to manufacturing whilst maintaining consistency and operational efficiency

• You are tenacious and collaborative, with excellent people and project management skills, with the ability to work closely with various teams to ensure the smooth running of projects

• Ideally, you will have worked in a similar position within beverage/food manufacturing and can utilise your wealth of experience in this fast paced role

• You are a self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up environment

• You can be flexible and understand the ever changing needs of the business

• You’re a team player, effective collaborator and communicator – you can get the best from our internal & external stakeholders by exercising clear communication and having a collaborative, professional, courteous, and fair approach

• You are good with numbers and have commercial acumen

• You are a self-starter; seeing opportunities and making them happen – with pace!

• You are thorough with a strong attention to detail

• You are highly organised and have the confidence to manage your own time and prioritise your workload

• Location: Bright and spacious office 1 minute from Notting Hill Gate station.
