The Role
The Field Sales Executive will play a key role in driving TRIP’s growth within the Wholesale & Convenience sector, your responsibilities will include expanding distribution, driving awareness, and building strong relationships with storeowners and wholesale managers. This role combines hands-on execution with a customer-focused approach, aligned to TRIP’s mission of helping millions find calm in their everyday!
The ideal candidate will thrive in a customer facing, fast-paced environment, demonstrating a proactive, can-do attitude to achieve ambitious sales targets. You will be the face of TRIP in the field, driving brand awareness and engagement, building relationships, and delivering against growth objectives. Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Building & Maintaining
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Store Owners and Wholesale Managers, acting as a face of the brand.
- Driving physical distribution across the TRIP range through local Wholesale depots and into Convenience stores
Executional Excellence
- Ensure TRIP is prominently displayed and POS materials are effectively implemented in stores and in wholesale to drive awareness, engagement and trial.
- Identify high-potential stores in London to expand TRIP’s presence and collaborate with distributors to secure new stockists.
- Work with the wider Impulse team to ensure national activations are executed locally and communicated to your customer base
Account Management
- Achieve sales targets and KPIs through effective relationship building and foundational sales principles.
- Develop and implement business plans for individual accounts to align with TRIP’s goals and the customer’s needs.
Championing TRIP’s Mission
- Be an enthusiastic ambassador for TRIP, embodying the brand and company values – Kindness, Tenacity, Brilliance, Collaboration and Amplification.
- Attend trade shows to educate potential customers on the benefits of TRIP products and the broader functional category.
- Internally collaborate to share market insights, challenges, and customer feedback, contributing to achieving shared company goals.
New Business
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the channel, focusing on independent wholesalers and convenience outlets.
- Utilise local insights to target high-potential stores for TRIP’s product range.
- Build a pipeline of prospects and convert leads into successful long-term partnerships through strategic planning.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor sales performance, track progress against targets, and provide periodic updates to the Wholesale & Impulse team.
- Analyse trends in the market and implement these insights in-trade.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, feedback, and sales data in CRM tools.
Team Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally across different teams with the business to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality campaigns and efficient execution.
- Share best practices and support the sales team in achieving shared team goals.
- Attend Weekly, Fortnightly and Monthly team meetings with the Wholesale & Impulse team and the larger sales team.
'About You'
Skills and Experience
Early Career in FMCG Sales: 1-2 years of experience in FMCG preferably within Wholesale and Impulse. Experience in Drinks is a bonus.
Attention to detail: Ability to execute on-the-ground sales strategies, ensuring the seamless implementation of POS materials, promotional campaigns, and in-store activations.
Commercially Minded: Foundational understanding of selling principles, targets, and the importance of building and maintaining successful customer relationships.
Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with independent store owners to wholesale buyers. Clear and confident communicator who can adapt to different audiences.
Action-Oriented: Highly self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying new opportunities, solving problems, and closing deals. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Passion for Growth: A natural go-getter with an enthusiastic attitude, eager to represent TRIP’s mission and play a key role in driving brand awareness and expansion.
Required: Full, valid UK driver’s license preferred
